Rene created a beautiful vintage matric dance dress for my daughter, Amy. Rene has made 2 Irish dance dresses for me and her work is of an exceptionally high standard. In fact, I had so much faith in Rene that when we decided to find a dressmaker for my daughters matric dance dress we had no doubt that Rene would be our only choice. The fact that I live in Durban and Rene lives in Cape Town was not a problem as I knew that if I gave Rene a picture and measurements we would get the dress we wanted. Amy's dress was made without any fittings and was posted to me in perfect condition. When we saw the dress we were thrilled, a few phone calls and emails was all that passed between us and we received a perfect dress. I was so thrilled to find Rene to do my wedding dress. When i met her and told her about my idea for my dress, she was as enthusiastic and as excited as I was to see my dream dress become reality. Nothing was too complicated for her and she was determined to make my dress as close to what I imagined as possible. When I first met Rene her enthusiasm and excitement rubbed off and I immediately knew that she would be able to design my perfect dress. I explained what I wanted and she could relate immediately and came up with a lot of different ideas-better than my own. I needed someone honest and someone who understands how important this once in a lifetime dress is- Rene was/is that person. It was just as important to her as it was to me to have the perfect dress. And my dress was indeed perfect. She wanted to have everything as special as possible putting in a lot of extra effort and time into making the veil and even my garter so beautiful and everything exactly as I wanted it-nothing was too difficult or too much effort-even with last minute changes a week before the due date. Not once was I worried or felt scared that the dress will not be as I wished as I believed in Rene’s amazing talent and trusted in her great abilities. I knew she had it all under control and I could carry on with all the other many things that needed my attention-I never worried about my dress. Thank you, Rene.
